Then why do I feel the same?

Oh my..I can't believe that I'm still thinking about the movie Avatar. The movie is simply fabulous! It's the first time that watching a movie results in me to be absorbed into the characters' world - - living on the planet Pandora and enter into the world of the Na'vis Tribe.

The blue-skinned Na'vis with their leopard eyes and warrior moves, the colourful plants with pure souls (especially those that look like willows), the wild Banshees with their piercing screeching sounds and the floating mountains.....all I can say is that these scenes simply blow your mind away and they are a feast to your sight.

Therefore, I will give 2 thumbs up to rate this movie (eh..I only have 2 thumbs in total).

Haha...I think I will buy the DVD if it comes out.

Anyway, it will be a few more days before I'm flying off to Perth with my grandma and my uncle. I'm not exactly sure if the trip will be exciting. But what I hope for is to gain experience in house interior design since it's rare that I get to help out with my aunt in moving house. Most importanly, I hope that I will not get barbequed under the scorching sky in Perth during the day and being frozen at night.

I must overcome my depression...no more wasting my energy worrying over the spilled milk. The grade is there and there's nothing I can do to change that grade of the test.

So now, I will focus and manage my time well.......I must and will do my best for my upcoming exams. I shall not let my parents worry over me.

I must give it my best shot in my final year!!

It's been 1 month plus since I've last blogged. Seriously, I have lost the interest to continue blogging. Need some motivation to keep me going posting entries to this blog.

For a start, this month is September, a month full of "bombs" -- birthday party invitations. Though not all my close Sept friends are having celebrations, I am still quite broke. Imagine having like 5 invitations/celebrations that fall within 2 weeks. I just feel like digging a hole and go into a hibernation mode.

I can't help wondering why is there local culture among the 21 year old Gen Ys holding big scale celebrations. Is it because it is a significant year in the legal arena? Oh well, I just can't be bothered holding one. I will be thankful so long the people I know are staying healthy and happy.

Okay..some updates on my school life.

I'm lagging behind in some of my modules in terms of readings and seminar questions for the other one. I simply can't read fast enough plus the fact that I get so tired after reading 1 chapter of text. I intend to push myself this week before the recess week arrive.

As for CCA, I have joined the overseas committee as a secretary cum treasurer. I know that it's not an obligation to join CCA in your final year but still, I can't help thinking that this will boost my resume. Besides, I realise that I have no experience in organizing an overseas trip. So, I believe that my participation in the overseas planning will help me gain valuable experience.

Before I end this entry, I will like to recommend this Jap Detective drama - BOSS. I like the part on how the detective head profiles her suspects based on the evidence collected. This profiling skill is certainly useful in real life though I know we can't judge people based on first impression. Though this drama has some flaws (for instant, the flow isn't that smooth), I still think it's a good watch. Do take note that there are some unexpected twists in the storyline :)

I shall stop here for this entry since I'm in a rush to send my part for a case write-up. Sayonara!

I can't simply believe it that I have caught the flu bug again within 2 months. Previously, it was someone from the public and now, it is from my dad. Thank goodness I am not having either cough or headache. It's just purely sneezing now. Of course, I pray real hard that it's not H1N1.

This is my first weekend at home with no Monday blues. No more work on a Monday and no tuition for the day. It's simply a slacking day for me. Maybe I shall just do some house chores to pass time and read some books.

Anyway, I realise that as I'm entering into my final year in university, more and more people are asking me this question 'What type of job are you thinking of doing?". Well, I can only think of either tax or audit. For audit, I am not really confident of my balance sheet and statement of comprehensive income since it is all about balancing. As for tax, it's been sometime since I last read anything on tax. However, I do know that I find tax much more interesting than audit. Perhaps I shall give myself around 5 to 6 years doing other aspects of accounting before I specialise into tax.

One thing for sure is that I am not interested in working in banks for now. All I can imagine is a single mistake in your calculation/data entry may result in a disastrous effect on your department. In addition, the pace is simply way too fast till you lost track of your surroundings. It is definitely not the lifestyle that I want.

Right now, I think all I can do is to consider the career path that I want to take when I graduate. Hopefully, I will find a job of my ideal choice and that I will continue to have motivation in learning new stuff.

I am having my internship during my 3-month holiday. 3 weeks more to go before it ends. Unlike most of my peers who are working in small CPA firms, I am working in a retail company - Cold Storage Singapore. Do not be mistaken that I am working in one of the Cold Storage supermarkets and hiding behind some cashier counters counting money. I am working in the HQ....My company can be also known as Diary Farmland in Singapore stock exchange market.

Haha...what amazes me is that this company deals with some of the famous household retailers in Singapore and in Asia. For instance, Giant Hypermart and 7-Eleven. Too bad for me..I am not working on these 2 banners but on Guardian instead. It is certainly interesting to know how the internal operations are like for the various banners and the terms they have with the suppliers. For once, I am certainly amazed by the number of invoices the banners have. Some of the paper quality are so good that I think the papers are more suitable for making invitation cards.

And now....I do think my internship is enjoyable as I get to have surprise findings in my work. Though they are rare, the discoveries do rejuvenate you and motivate you to continue investigating. Of course, another factor is that I have fun interns to work with. All of us stay relatively near to the workplace with the furthest staying in Bedok. By knowing this, I can't help wondering if we are chosen by the Human Resource people based on our home location. I do hope it's not and it is based on our resume. Otherwise, I will feel disappointed.

Anyway, it's good to know that one of the interns is from AHS as well. Haha..so at least, I can reminisce some of the good times in AHS.

Oh man..time is getting late. I have to turn in now lest I fall asleep during work.

These days, the weather is crazy. Hot, cold...hot hoT hOT HOT! In the past, my family hardly switch on air con in May/June. However for now, I swear that I switch on air-con about 3-4 times per week. The climate is sure changing fast. I'm not surprised that Singapore would sink when the temperature increases by 4 degree celsius. So Singaporeans, beware!!

After resting for approximately a month, I am now back to giving tuition. .. If not for the need of having extra allowance, I would most possibly be slacking at home and helping out with housechores. I am thankful for this tuition assignment as it suits the timing/day/pay that I prefer. The best part of all is that I end up having a student with the same name as me. Haha...

Perhaps after getting my timetable, I would contemplate taking on another tuition assignment to lessen my parents' burden. Of course, I would still concentrate on my studies and try to reach my next goal of getting at least B+ and above. It's my next goal in my studies since I have managed to maintain at least a B in my second year.

Shall end my post now and when I have time...I shall write about my internship.

Many days have passed since my last exam ended. From that period till now, I have been to Taiwan and is now into the 2nd week of my attachment at Cold Storage HQ. Do not link Cold Storage to Cold Storage supermarket only. They are also in-charge of other well-known businesses too. You can google for the info if you are interested.

Anyway, I'm kinda depressed as I will no longer have any tutee. Time for me to rest for a while before looking on for a new tutee.

I will blog some other day when I'm feeling free. Shall do my company work now.
